Where Are They Now? Scarlett Burke
Who would’ve thought a girl from Canyon…
Scarlett Burke was just a normal girl from Canyon with dreams of the big life, so she came to Anderson Talent Agency for training. With our classes and a lot of hard work, she found herself in California. Just recently she signed with Next, an LA print agency. They send her out on castings daily. Scarlett is also signed for commercial and print work with Brand and Coast to Coast Talent.
Her biggest accomplishment in print was booking an Herbal Essences campaign last summer. It hasn’t been published yet, but will come out soon. Next month, she’ll have a 20 page editorial coming out in Viva Glam Magazine.
Recent print accomplishments: Herbal Essences, Mazda, Hyundai, Boot Barn, Alexander Vinash Cover of Stylo Magazine in Spain, 7 page editorial in this months issue of Bella Magazine, Machine Jeans, and several clothing lines from all over that come to LA to shoot from Japan, Turkey, New York, etc.
She has a lot of advice for newcomers into the industry.
- “I’d say to always follow up. Be persistent! Agents are busy and getting tons of emails and phone calls every day. If they don’t get back to you, just keep following up and don’t take it personal! The good ones are just really busy.”
- Be and show that you are proactive about your career. Don’t make your agent feel like they have to do all the work for you.
- On auditions, always be on time. Girls need to wear very little make-up for a fresh, clean look. Always be confident. The moment you start comparing yourself to everyone else in the room, you’ve lost the job. “You were called there for a reason, just be happy and excited to be there!”
